What is Antioxidant ?

Antioxidant, as it is already found in our body with nutrition is a chemical substance. The most important antioxidants we receive by feeding are vitamins A, C, E and selenium. The most important thing they do when we take these vitamins in our body is to prevent the formation of free radicals that we don’t want to multiply. Antioxidants fighting free radicals that damage the cells play an important role in both protecting from the disease and delaying the negative effects of aging.

What are the benefits of antioxidants?

The most important benefit of antioxidants is that it protects our body against all the disturbances caused by free radicals that threaten human health. It is especially effective in preventing heart and diabetes, macular degeneration, cancer and infectious diseases. Antioxidants should be considered as a precaution not to be a treatment tool, but as a precautionary measure.

Free radicals can lead to the emergence of diseases that are expected to be encountered at later ages in some cases at an earlier age, and in this sense, it can be observed that antioxidants that prevent the formation of free radicals also delay the signs of aging.

What are the foods that contain antioxidants?

Antioxidants are often found in foods such as many vegetables, fruits, walnuts, nuts, vegetable oils, red and white meat, fish, cereals. If we sort the foods according to the antioxidant species;

• Vitamin A and Carotenoid: Carrot, pumpkin, broccoli, sweet potato, tomato, black cabbage, melon, peach, apricot
